Hello,I'm 16 years old Junior in High school.
I'm afraid of making the wrong choice.See,I've always had in mind what is it exactly that i want to do once I've graduated. Now I'm soon to be a senior, and I've finally sum up to a conclusion on what i would like to do.I will like to pursue in the Arts/Entertainment industry.
i want to be a photographer,a web/graphic designer,and perhaps even model!. I live in Miami,so i believe i don't have to move..unless i decide to.
Do you notice something? The things I've chosen are some what related..eh.
Well, now here's my confusion i have an idea of what i want to do but how and where to begin.I don't think i'll be able to go to college due to money crises, and i doubt it they'll offer a girl like me a scholarship.I'm not as intelligent no to mention my lack/phobia on math.
I'm currently taking photography 1 course in high school, and learning html and will be making my portfolio soon as well.
Any advice for me please?
I get no support from others.Advice for a young girl career step?
im also a 16 years old but im already on my second year on college..in this age i've made many mistakes, many wrong decisions..all i can say is that follow what you heart desires..it can lead you to success..dont let other people decide for you or influence what you want..Advice for a young girl career step?
Find a graphic design tech school in your area. Look for community colleges. Their tuition is very reasonable and they will help you finance it.
When you get done with the graphic design, you'll have a way to make a living while you work on Photography and Modeling.
Also, look in your local paper under 'jobs'. There will probably be advertisements for graphic designers. That way you'll know you can get a job when you're done.
You need to follow heart. Take what ever you love to do the most and apply 100% to it.
Believe in yourself and you will no fail!
I hate math. Please don't let anything from stopping you. You do need to continue and finish highschool and ask your art teacher about creating a portfolio. Start looking at some galleries and art schools so you can get better ideas of what to do. Check out some artist bio and maybe this will help too. I wish you the best!
Breathe ... you have plenty of time. Even if you choose the ';wrong'; field, you can still recover. I was 22 before I decided to commit to becoming a photographer.
I had been a math/science major before that.
Look for an internship with a local professional studio. Work there during the summer and afternoons.
With the fire you seem to have, you WILL be successful
