Indian girl wanting advice for dyeing hair a crazy color? and haircuts as well.?

well, i dont want to dye my hair all over, but basically: i am indian so i have tanned skin with long, slightly wavy hair with layers. i currently have red streaks in my hair, but im looking to partially dye my hair bright blue/teal or purple. my plan is to get my hair bleached at a salon and dye it the color at home with manicpanic. is that a good idea or should i have the salon do it all? and which areas would look good (ex bangs, peekaboo highlights, tips, etc)?





im into the whole punk/scene thing, and im a teen. but i dont know if that would suit an indian person. i dont have very thick hair. im looking for something crazy but NOT a mohawk; my neck is long so i dont want too short haircuts, but id like something creative. are there any hairstyles that i'd be interested in?

You can do whatever you want, I'm an Indian too, and you should choose where you want it. I would go with highlights. Change the tradition most Indian people dont doesn't mean it should stop you.
I think you can dye your hair whatever color you want! You shouldn't let your race dictate how you wear your hair!


I totally agree that you should go to the salon for the bleach job, but for the crazy colors you want I do not recommend Manic Panic. I have been dying my hair crazy colors for going on 10 years and Manic panics cooler colors are no good, they fade to a yucky green! I recommend going with the brand Special Effects. I haven't used their blues but I have used all shades of purple and they are great. I think with dark hair peekaboo highlights sound cool, but I have never seen you so I am not sure. Check out haircrazy.info for some ideas on color and style. They have awesome galleries and have forums on there so you can get more advice from people more experienced in crazy color.
